First time visitor, but we'll definitely be back. Everything was superb......Lamb Kabob's, Gyros, hummus, feta dip. Dolmades were absolutely the best we've ever had. Tried the lemon chicken soup & the lentil vegetable. Both of these were exceptional, but OMG......beware the temperature. They serve their soup exactly as it should be served.....piping hot.........just not used to that any place else. :) Greeted with a smile & the place looks great with beutiful Greecian theme everywhere you look. Will definitely be back.

Have you ever had an urge to visit Greece? Maybe the Parthenon, Acropolis, the Temple of Aphrodite? How about one of those little islands with a name that ends in "os" and has buildings clinging to the rocks and cliffs? Well, you're in luck, without needing to win the lottery. King Gyros has very nice hand-painted murals on the walls depicting those venues. Free of charge. The menu is varied and extensive, and panic-attack-free--everything is very good, quickly made to order, and delivered with a smile. I bet if you ordered in 100% Greek, it'd be totally cool, which would actually be totally cool. Dessert is not a cuss-word or afterthought at King Gyros. In fact, there's undoubtedly folks who visit solely to partake in their extensive variety of cakes, pies & confections...all prepared with a Greek twist, and proudly arrayed in and on glass display cases on the left when you first walk in. Beautiful, baby. Sure, you can use the drive-thru to order or pick up, but you'd be missing the free show at King Gyros. And that would be a shame ( ). ***** PS - King Gyros' building started life as the first Taco Bell in Central Ohio. So, yes, it's a landmark, too.

It's been a year because I haven't been back to the area. But I remember it well. I was dying (not literally) for some Greek food. I didn't want to make it myself so I checked out King Gyros Greek Restaurant. Oh my goodness! The ingredients were fresh and their Tzatziki sauce was as good as mine and I didn't have to do all the work and clean up. My friend who went with me had never tried Greek Cuisine. We both got Gyros (real sliced lamb) which came with plenty of Tzatziki and spicy rice. The manager was in the area and overheard us talking about how great the food was! I told him this was the best in Columbus especially if you didn't want a high price to go with the quality food. He gave us seconds free. Ambiance was great and they had a huge panoramic painting on the entire wall. Address 400 S. Hamilton Rd., Columbus, Ohio. Don't miss out. Don't have a photo. Sorry

Have been going there since it opened around '91 but never had the lamb chops. A few weeks ago Guy Fieri featured on Diners,Drive Ins and Dives and the lamb chops looked amazing. I have always had friendly service but not last evening. There were about 8 behind the counter and we stood there for quite some before getting service. NO hello welcome nothing. We order a Greek lamb chop dinner to share and asked for an extra plate. Since eating there. Told it came with soup, fries or Greek salad so we ordered a soup. Ordered a soft drink only to find out that they no longer have soft drinks like coke or Pepsi. Said they quit that. They do have iced and flavored iced teas so we got water. We sat down. Our food came in a styrofoam closed container. Had to ask fora plate. Not the beautiful presentation they showed on tv - on a plate with lemon sauce drizzled on it. We open the box and there was a container of the sauce. Also rice and roasted veggies. So strike on for presentation. The lamb was cooked perfectly -5 chops. Very juicy. We couldn't taste any particular seasoning though. Maybe forgot to put some on. The rice was hard and tasteless too- maybe old. The roasted veggies were delish- flavorful. I really wanted to give it 5 stars because Yianni is such a great guy but the service , presentation and under seasoned food didn't warrant it. Still, if you don't mind those things give the lamb a try. I'm not totally against trying again but not so soon.

We ate at King Gyros last night and it was exceptional! We used their drive thru service. The ordering was simple and the person staffing the drive thru was excellent offering menu suggestions that were helpful and appreciated. We had a side of hummus that included ample pita bread. This was a very good starter. The hummus and pita were both fresh and delicious! We both had traditional lamb gyros that included generous cuts of lamb balanced with tomatoes, onion, banana peppers, shredded lettuce, and tzatziki sauce. My wife said her gyro was "the best gyro I've ever had!" I also had a fresh glass of mango iced tea. Very refreshing. This might have been our first experience eating at King Gyros but it will not be the last. The Greek cuisine provides great value and a welcome, healthy alternative to other food choices. I can't wait to go back!

I believe this is the best Greek restaurant in town. I especially like the mini gyros although the calamari is excellent as well! The service is great and the staff is friendly. There's indoor and outdoor seating. The walls are covered with Greek scenery and seating is comfortable.

You can't miss this place. It's bright colored building inside and out with Greek décor. There is parking front of the building and a drive-thru option, if needed. I ordered Salmon Feta bowl, Mango Tea and Chocolate Baklava. The Salmon bowl was great. It didn't have a fishy smell to it. Very flavorful and tasty. The mango tea had just the right level of sweetness that I like. Tasted delicious. However, I didn't care for the Baklava. It seemed like it was setting there for few days, very stale. Overall the place was clean and the customer service was great. Would definitely go back to try out different items on the menu.

First time trying this little Greek spot and it was nice to see a Greek family owned restaurant here in Columbus. Very genuine and authentic flavors of the food. Had a gyro bowl and the flavors were strong. Fast, casual dining. Good for families and they have a drive though, so great for buying quick bites on the go. Staff was friendly and very welcoming. Would recommend and will eat here again.

Excellent service - the friendliest place I've been in Columbus/central Ohio. My first time here and I ordered the Dolmades (grape leaves) dinner. Not only are they huge, but the flavor is fantastic. Nicely seasoned with a lemony sauce to accompany it. The pita and salad were great too. Special mention goes to the Greek dressing. They have a large dessert case right you walk in and I just had to try the chocolate baklava. The dining room helps you feel like you're in Greece with brightly painted blue walls. Highly recommend adding this one to your list. I'll be back.
